Key Places We Visit Today
Campahatta
- The 500-year-old Deities of Sri Gaura-Gadadhara, worshipped by Dvija Vaninath, the brother and disciple of Sri Gadadhara Pandit.
- Campahatta is home to a beautiful campaka forest, where Campakalata-sakhi gathers flowers to make garlands for Radha and Krishna. This place is non-different from Khadiravana in Vraja, where Krishna and Balarama take rest.
Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya Gaudiya Math
- Deities of Sri Sri Radhashyam Sundar Jiu, Mahaprabhu & Sadbhuja.
- Birthplace of Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya (incarnation of Brihaspati), known as Vidyanagara.
Vidyavacaspati
- Deities of Sri Sri Gour Nitai
- Vidyavacaspati was the brother of Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya.
Samudragada
- Both Dwaraka Puri and Ganga-sagara are said to be present here.
- The ocean once took shelter of the Jahnavi and came here to serve the Lord’s feet with devotion.
Vidyānagara
- Matsya avatara carried the Vedas to Vidyanagara within Rtudvipa. Since the Vedas, which contain all vidya, or knowledge, were brought here, this place is therefore named Vidyanagara.
- Benediction – Whoever hears the unprecedented educational pastimes of the Lord in Vidyanagara will become freed from ignorance.
Ratupura (Radha Kund & Syam Kund)
- This Rtudvipa is the abode of transcendental bliss, for it is part of the area of Radha-kunda in Vraja.
Reflection on the devotional service
“When I worship the Deity, do I feel I am personally serving the Lord?”
Quote of the Day
In distributing love of Godhead, Caitanya Mahāprabhu and His associates did not consider who was a fit candidate and who was not, nor where such distribution should or should not take place. They made no conditions. Wherever they got the opportunity, the members of the Pañca-tattva distributed love of Godhead.
