Sri Sri Gaur Gadadhar & Sri Sri Lakshmi Nrsimhadeva
Radharani is also Krishna. There is no difference between the energy and the energetic. Without energy there is no meaning to energetic, and without the energetic there is no meaning to energy. Similarly, without Radha there is no meaning to Krishna, and without Krishna there is no meaning to Radha. Therefore the Vaishnava philosophy first of all worships the internal pleasure potency of the Supreme Lord. It is always said, “Radha Krishna.” Although the author is going to explain the intricacies of this pleasure potency, he first of all utters the name of Radha. Similarly, those who worship the Name of Narayan first of all utter the name of Lakshmi; those who are worshippers of Lord Rama first of all utter the name of Sita. Sita Rama, Radha Krishna,Lakshmi Narayan—the potency always first.
Radha and Krishna are One. When Krishna desires to enjoy pleasure He manifests Himself. The spiritual exchange of love affair is the display of the internal potency or pleasure potency of Krishna. We say “when” Krishna desires, although just when He did desire, we cannot say. But we speak in this way because in conditional life we take it that everything has some beginning. In the Absolute, or spiritual life, there is no beginning; there is no end. But in order to understand that Radha and Krishna are One, and that They become divided, that question “When?” automatically comes to be asked. When Krishna desired to enjoy His pleasure potency, He manifested Himself in the separate Form of Radharani. Again, when Krishna wanted to understand Himself through the agency of Radha, They became united—and that unification is called Lord Chaitanya.
(Teachings of Lord Chaitanya Introduction)
The religious principle for the age of Kali is the congregational chanting of the holy names of the Lord. Śrī Śacīnandana incarnates to establish this principle.
(Śrī Caitanya-bhāgavata, Ādi-khaṇḍa 2.22)
All glories to Nṛsiṁhadeva! All glories to Nṛsiṁhadeva, who is the Lord of Prahlāda Mahārāja and, like a honeybee, is always engaged in beholding the lotuslike face of the goddess of fortune.
PURPORT
Similarly, in his commentary on the First Canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (1.1.1), Śrīdhara Svāmī describes Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva in this way….
“Let me offer my obeisances unto Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva, who is always enlightening Prahlāda Mahārāja within his heart and who always kills the nescience that attacks the devotees. His mercy is distributed like moonshine, and His face is like that of a lion. Let me offer my obeisances unto Him again and again.“
(CC Madhya 8.5)
So Prahlāda Mahārāja, he was such a nice devotee. And to protect him when he was just going to be killed by his father . . . and his father was very polit . . . good politician. He took benediction from Brahmā that he will not be killed by anyone. By policy he took benediction from Brahmā that, “I shall not be killed by man.” “Oh, yes.” “I shall not be killed by demigods.” “That’s all right.” “I shall not be killed by any animal.” “That’s all right.” “I shall not be killed in day.” “That’s all right.” “You shall . . . I shall not be killed at night.” “That’s all right.” “I shall not be killed by any weapon.” “That’s all right.”
And he said: “Now it is finished. Everything is now secure. I cannot be killed in day. I cannot be killed at night. No man can kill him (me). No demigod can kill me. No animal can kill me. Then where is the killing? Everything finished.” But God is so, cunning that He assumed neither man nor animal, and no weapons. He killed him with the nails. He never expected that “I will be killed by the nails.” This is the definition by negation, defective definition. There the . . . in argument, if you define negatively, “This is not this. This is not this. This is not this,” then something will come that will, I mean to say, nullify all your arguments. You see? So he protected himself in all negative ways, “This will not. This will not. This will not. This will not.” Something came which was not in his power. So this Nṛsiṁhāvatāra.

Information – The manager cited a precedent: When dacoits had threatened the devotees at the Yoga-Pitha, the nearby birth site of Lord Chaitanya, Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura and his son Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura had promptly installed Sri Sri Laksmi-Nrsimhadeva (the Lord and His consort). There were no further disturbances.
