Sangam
In the southern portion of Mayapur, on the bank of the Ganges near its junction with the Sarasvati, is the grove called Isodyana. May that forest be the place of my eternal devotions.
(Sri Navadvipa Bhava Taranga – Page 123)
Just as Isodyana, nondifferent to Radha-kunda, lies close to the bank of the Ganges, so Godruma lies close to the bank of the Sarasvati.
(Sri Navadvipa Bhava Taranga – Page 125)
Flowing in various places of Navadvipa are all auspicious rivers such as the Ganges, Yamuna, Godavari, Sarasvati, Narmada, Sindhu, Kaveri, Tamraparni, Payasvini, Krtamala, Bhama, Gomati, and Drsadvati. Navadvipa is always surrounded by these holy rivers. O Parvati, present within this eternal Navadvipa‑dhama are Ayodhya, Mathura, Maya (Haridvara), Kasi, Kanci, Avanti (Ujjain), Dvaraka, Kuruksetra, Puskara, and Naimisaranya. The four streams ofthe Ganges – Bhagirathi, Alakananda, Mandakini and Bhogavati – enclose the thirty-two mile circumference of Navadvipa. All the holy places in the heavenly, earthly, and lower planets are present in Navadvipa.
(Sri Navadvipa Pramana Khanda – chapter 4)
Throughout Mayapur are scattered countless forests, temples. courtyards, wide roadways, and houses of brahmanas. In the southeast, Isodyāna, the garden of the Lord, rests on the bank of the incessantly flowing Sarasvati River. Why should the rascals of Kali-yuga, who are bound tight by material illusion, have the privilege to see these spiritual treasures? Māyā hides the dhama with the erosion caused by the Ganges, Yamuna, and Sarasvati and thus material eyes can see only a shadow of the real Mayapur. By the mercy of Sri Nityananda, the holder of all spiritual powers, may that Mayapur be revealed to my eyes and beheld with proper reverence. O Nityananda, please bless this worthless fool with a vision of the household pastimes Gauranga performed here.
(Sri Navadvipa Bhava-taranga)
In this village of Saptagrāma there is a place associated with the seven sages known throughout the world as Triveṇī-ghāṭa.
PURPORT
The confluence of the Ganges, Sarasvatī, and Yamunā is known as Triveṇī even today. The riverbed of the Yamunā is still found near Kāñcarāpāḍā. Some time ago this river used to flow into the Triveṇīsaṅgama. Reports that the Yamunā riverbed existed near Govaraḍāṅgā are still current.
(Śrī Caitanya-bhāgavata, Antya-khaṇḍa 5.444)
The seven sages previously performed austerities and attained the lotus feet of Govinda on the bank of the Ganges at this place. The three goddesses—Jāhnavī, Yamunā, and Sarasvatī merge together at this place. This place is renowned throughout the world as Triveṇī-ghāṭa. By taking darśana of this place, all one’s sins are destroyed. Nityānanda and His associates took bath at this ghāṭa in great ecstasy. Lord Nityānanda stayed on the bank of the Triveṇī at the house of the fortunate Uddhāraṇa Datta.
