Once, giving up his bull carrier, Lord Śiva mounted Brahmā’s swan, Śrī Haṁsa-vāhana, and came here to hear the recitation of the Purāṇas. With his followers, he sang the glories of Lord Gaura. Surrounded by devotees dancing and chanting “Gaurahari,” they joyfully showered heaps of flowers all around.
