Purushottam — Month of Mercy
30 Days of Mayapur Meditations
Purushottam Maas is a rare and sacred month named after Purushottam — the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Krishna. It is a divine opportunity to deepen one’s spiritual life through prayer, reflection, chanting, hearing, and remembrance. During this holy month, even small devotional practices performed with sincerity can bring profound spiritual transformation.
Because this month is named after Purushottam, it is considered the most powerful time for purification. It is said that any spiritual activity — be it chanting, fasting, charity, hearing hari-katha, or devotional seva — performed during this month yields thousands of times more spiritual benefit than at any other time of the year.
From May 17 to June 15, 2026, devotees around the world are invited to enter a special journey of spiritual immersion through 30 Days of Mayapur Meditations — designed to help deepen one’s connection with Sri Mayapur-dhama and nourish daily spiritual practice.
What Are Mayapur Meditations?
Each day of Purushottam Maas, participants will receive inspiring devotional content to support spiritual reflection and remembrance, including:
- Reflections on the teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu
- Sacred places and pastimes of Navadvipa-dhama
- Srila Prabhupada’s teachings and devotional inspirations
- Vaishnava bhajans, kirtans, and meditations
Whether you are visiting Mayapur physically or connecting from home, these meditations are meant to help you experience the mood, remembrance, and spiritual atmosphere of the holy dham throughout the sacred month.
Why Purushottam Maas Is Special
Purushottam Maas (also known as Adhik Maas) appears approximately once every three years in the Vedic calendar and is glorified in the scriptures as the most spiritually potent month of the year.
Because this month is especially dear to Lord Krishna, devotees dedicate extra time to:
- Chanting the holy names
- Reading sacred scriptures
- Visiting holy places
- Performing devotional seva
- Hearing hari-katha
- Living with greater simplicity and mindfulness
It is said that sincere spiritual practices performed during this month help awaken deeper devotion, inner purification, and remembrance of the Lord.
