Harihara-kṣetra is the sacred site of Lord Harihara, a unique deity who is half Viṣṇu and half Śiva. At this holy place, Lord Śiva delivers souls by chanting the name of Gauranga at the time of death. Known as Mahā-Vārāṇasī, it is free from the fear of death.
