The most merciful Lord Viśvambhara looked at Advaita and spoke as follows. I have descended to fulfill Your vow, for You have profusely worshiped Me. I was sleeping in the ocean of milk, but Your loud cries broke My sleep. You could not tolerate the suffering of the living entities, so You have brought Me to deliver them. All My associates that You saw surrounding Me have already taken birth because of You.
When Mādhavendra Purī arrived at the house of Advaita Ācārya in Śāntipura, the Ācārya became very pleased upon seeing the ecstatic love of Godhead manifest in Mādhavendra Purī. Advaita Ācārya begged to be initiated by Mādhavendra Purī.
Information – The Shantipur Festival, just after Ekadashi, is a cherished celebration of kirtan, prasadam, and devotion, continuing the legacy of Sri Advaita Acharya. This festival, originating in the 15th century, honors the Disappearance Day of Srila Madhavendra Puri. ISKCON Mayapur devotees will distribute Khichri prasadam to atleast 50,000 villagers in Shantipur, following Advaita Acharya’s tradition of serving all with love.
