“CONNECT with Sri Mayapur-dhama” – Digital Pilgrimage & Parikrama Guide
Srila Prabhupada said, “My idea is to attract people of the whole world to Mayapur.” Connect with Sri Mayapur-dhama is a free digital pilgrimage initiative developed to help fulfill this vision by connecting people worldwide with the spiritual essence of Sri Mayapur-dhama. It serves as a comprehensive platform for sharing the authentic teachings of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, as presented in the books of Srila Prabhupada and other Gaudiya Vaisnava acharyas. Through this initiative, devotees can experience immersive pilgrimages to the holy places of Sri Navadvipa-dhama Parikrama and Sri Mayapur-dhama Panchakrosha Parikrama. Through a mobile-friendly website and app, devotees can explore holy places, meditate on scriptural narratives, and prepare their hearts for pilgrimage—whether visiting physically or virtually. To serve the global devotee community, the content is accessible in multiple languages through automated translation.
A Digital Pilgrimage Guide for ISKCON Mayapur
As thousands of devotees prepare to arrive in Sri Mayapur-dhama for the annual Gaura Purnima festival, ISKCON Mayapur has developed this platform to support visitors in their pilgrimage. For many visitors, particularly those coming for the first time, navigating the vast ISKCON Mayapur campus and understanding the spiritual significance of the surrounding holy places can feel overwhelming. ‘Connect with Sri Mayapur-dhama’ addresses this need by bringing together reliable, up-to-date information in one easily accessible digital platform, available free of cost and accessible to devotees worldwide.
The platform offers practical guidance for visitors, including information on prasadam facilities, accommodation, visitor amenities, shopping areas, and services within ISKCON Mayapur. A thoughtfully curated pilgrimage itinerary helps devotees make meaningful use of their time in the holy dhama, while interactive campus maps make it easier to locate temples, facilities, and key landmarks. A dedicated Google Calendar highlighting Sri Mayapur-dhama festival dates allows devotees worldwide to stay connected with important events throughout the year.
Beyond logistics, the project invites pilgrims to engage in spiritual meditation through the nine processes of devotional service. It also highlights the sacred ecology of Sri Mayapur-dhama, encouraging devotees to perceive biodiversity through the lens of bhakti-yoga, fostering mindful devotion, compassionate living, and a spiritual connection with Mother Earth as an expression of bhakti. High-resolution photographs of Sri Mayapur-dhama are available for download, providing visual inspiration for reflection and meditation.
Sri Navadvipa-dhama Parikrama
Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura instructed Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, “Try to begin the parikrama of Sridhama Navadvipa as soon as possible. Thereby, everyone in the universe can receive Krsna-bhakti.” Inspired by this instruction, our goal is to serve all visitors, guests of Mahaprabhu, ensuring a meaningful and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage experience—before arriving in the dhama, during their stay, and even after returning home. These experiences are enriched with scriptural narratives, darshan of divine deities, Srila Prabhupada Vani, inspiring video lectures from senior devotees, old photo archives, Flipbooks, and integrated Google navigation.
Sri Mayapur Dhama Panchakrosha Parikrama
Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura writes in Sri Navadvipa-dhama Mahatmya, “The sastras say that one who walks around Navadvipa attains the fruit of millions of asvamedha yajnas at every step.” The project encourages pilgrims to undertake this approximately sixteen-kilometer journey, following in the footsteps of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who performed this parikrama every Ekadasi with His associates. While the parikrama can be completed on foot in three to four hours, those unable to visit physically can now meditate upon this sacred journey through a guided video tour accompanied by Srila Prabhupada’s teachings.
Srila Prabhupada Nectar Drops
One of the platform’s most unique features is the integration of our Founder-Acharya’s vani via “Srila Prabhupada Audio” icon. Devotees can listen to nectar drops, short audio clips linked to the holy places of Sri Navadvipa-dhama, allowing them to experience the parikrama in Srila Prabhupada’s personal association. Gradually, we are also expanding the publication of short videos of these sacred sites, paired with Srila Prabhupada’s transcendental vani, creating an opportunity for pilgrims to connect their hearts with the unlimited mercy of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
Virtual Pilgrimage
Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura writes in Sri Navadvipa-dhama Mahatmya, “What one attains by traveling to all the holy places is attained just by remembering Navadvipa.” Whether seeking spiritual nourishment, preparing for pilgrimage, or longing to reconnect with the sacred pastime places of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Connect with Sri Mayapur-dhama offers an immersive experience for both physical and virtual pilgrims worldwide.
The project has already expanded to include Ekacakra-dhama, Santipur, Birnagar, and Kolkata, and is continually growing to cover other significant holy places—bringing the sacred Gaura-Mandala into the homes of devotees worldwide. The platform is available as a web-based application and a mobile app on both the Play Store and App Store. We warmly invite all devotees to explore, share, and engage with this offering as a companion on their spiritual journey.
This initiative serves as a gateway to inspire hearts to connect with Sri Mayapur-dhama, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, and Srila Prabhupada. Every moment of engagement becomes an opportunity to receive Mahaprabhu’s mercy. With the blessings and support of the devotee community, the project aspires to assist in fulfilling Srila Prabhupada’s vision of spreading the glories of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu to every town and village throughout the world.
