ISKCON Mayapur Gita Mela

Gītā Melā is one of the most vibrant annual festivals in Śrī Māyāpur Dhāma, held during the winter months from December to January. Organized by ISKCON Māyāpur, this 15-day spiritual fair introduces thousands of visitors to the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad-gītā through interactive exhibits, cultural performances, and inspiring experiences.

Often called the “Festival of Knowledge,” Gītā Melā features life-sized dioramas, multimedia presentations, question-and-answer sessions, book exhibitions, japa meditation, children’s activities, and engaging displays for all ages. Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy devotional music, dramas, dance performances, and browse a wide selection of spiritual books and gifts.

A major highlight of the event is the distribution of Bhagavad-gītās and other spiritual literature, continuing Śrīla Prabhupāda’s vision of sharing Vedic wisdom with the world. Every year, Gītā Melā attracts thousands of pilgrims and tourists, offering an inspiring introduction to Krishna consciousness in a joyful and welcoming atmosphere
