TOVP opening
In a moment of extreme compassion and urgency Srila Prabhupada said, “My idea is to attract the people of the Whole world to Mayapur”.
An official inauguration date has now been established, and Ambarisa and Braja Vilasa Prabhus, serving respectively as Chairman and Vice-Chairman, have pledged their commitment to this historic Grand Opening as a worldwide offering at the lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada in honor of his 50th Disappearance Day Anniversary on November 1, 2027.
The inauguration will mark the beginning of an extensive three- to four-month festival culminating in Gaura Purnima on March 11, 2028. During this period, all of the cherished Mayapur Deities will be ceremonially transferred to Their magnificent new palace, accompanied by the installation of sixteen new acharya murtis. The celebrations will feature grand kirtans, cultural performances, parikramas, and numerous other devotional programs, woven together with the sacred process of relocating the Deities.
This occasion will stand as one of the most significant and historic milestones in the history of ISKCON and the global Vaishnava community of Vishnu and Krishna devotees. Priests from the renowned Tirupati Balaji Temple have already foretold that the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium (TOVP) will become the “Tirupati of the East,” with projections of up to 60 million pilgrims visiting annually—twice the number currently received by Tirupati. The full extent of the TOVP’s future impact on the world remains beyond our imagination, yet its potential to inspire and transform countless lives is truly extraordinary.
